Some businessmen think think that if you fire people to increase profit, there is benefit to them. But if you fire your employees, you are essentially firing your customers. And if there are no customers, a business collapses.
A man decided that his work horse was costing him too much money. He decided to train the horse to eat less, thus costing him less. So, each day he fed the horse less than the day before. Eventually and inevitably, the horse died. His reaction was, “Just when I get the horse to where he costs me nothing, he dies on me. I can’t win.”
Actually, you can win, but not that way.
